The Ashes 2013: David Warner jeopardises Australia recall after on-pitch fracas in South Africa


Controversial Australian cricketer David Warner has landed himself in trouble again after umpires were forced to step in to separate the batsman from South African wicketkeeper Thami Tsolekile.

Warner was sent to play for the Australian A side after a nightclub fracas in Birmingham where he punched England’s Joe Root before the start of the Ashes series.

But it seems his cooling off period has been anything but, after sledging appeared to get out of hand in his side’s match against South Africa A, with Warner at the crease.

According to reporter Stuart Hess at the LC De Villiers Oval in Pretoria, the game was brought to a brief halt when the verbals between Warner and Tsolekile escalated, with the latter having to be pulled away by South Africa team-mate Vaughn van Jaarsveld.
