Chelsea may have continued their 100 per cent pre-season record with a 2-0 victory over Inter Milan, but the clash against the Italian side was marred by a horror tackle on captain John Terry.
Goals from Oscar and Eden Hazard gave the Blues their fourth win of the summer, but they left Indianapolis with concerns over the fitness of Terry, with the Premier League season just two weeks away.
Inter’s Hugo Campagnaro was shown a straight red card for his studs-up challenge on the 32-year-old’s ankle, with Terry extremely fortunate to avoid serious injury as he went on to play the full 90 minutes.
The tackle came in the 58th minute with Jose Mourinho’s side already two goals to the good against his former side, in the opening match of the inaugural Guinness International Cup.
