Swansea have warned Arsenal they are prepared to fight ‘tooth and nail’ to keep hold of Ashley Williams and Michu this summer.
Both players have been linked with moves to the Emirates throughout the transfer window, although no formal offers are believed to have been made.
Arsene Wenger remains determined to add to his side before Monday’s deadline, with a defender and striker thought to be among his top priorities, having seen midfielder Mathieu Flamini return to the club earlier this week.
But Swansea general manager Alun Cowie says the club won’t be letting Williams or Michu go easily.
‘Both are integral to our plans this season so we will be fighting tooth and nail to keep them. I haven’t heard of any offers for either of them,’ he said.
