Studio Lighting Practice

Professional Development Plan (Prof Frameworks 3)

Hello, all! Long time no see! 😉

It’s time to resume this blog, starting with… studio lighting!

If you recall, that has been one of my PDP objectives. Although I’ve not had any technical training per se, since my last PDP submission, I have tried to go out there and experiment with it.

So when music student Thomas Parry (who I met whilst working on the video assignment, as a potential collaboration for soundtrack) got in touch asking if I could take a couple of photos of him against a white background for a tv extra job application, I said yes! I told him I wasn’t experienced, but would try my best… consequently, I didn’t charge him anything.

Prior to the shoot I spoke to my classmate Patryk, who’s really good with studio lighting, and watched a couple of online tutorials so I had an idea of what to do.
