Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce John Terry has signed a one-year extension to his contract.
The most successful captain in the club’s history and our fourth highest appearance maker, the 2014/15 season will be Terry’s 17th in the first team. He made his debut in October 1998 as a 17-year-old having joined the club as a youth trainee at the age of 14.
Speaking after completing his new deal, Terry said: ‘I’m delighted to have signed an extension to my contract with Chelsea taking me into my 20th year with the club.
‘I’d like to thank the fans and club for their continued support, and the Manager who was instrumental for me the last season.’
The 33-year-old has played 621 games for Chelsea, 26 of them as a substitute, and he has scored 57 goals, comfortably the most by a defender in our history. He has been captain…
